MY mainbord just died

I have an asus a8n sli deluxe motherboard and a long time ago on of the pci x16 slots started to work erratically, then a week or so ago the whole thing died. The first thing that I did was look for a loose connection then I completely rebuilt the thing, it still did not work. My next step was to get the homebuilt looked at by a pro. That pro said that it was not the CPU as I had thought but that it was the mainbord (a much cheaper component the the CPU) and that it would have to be replaced. I did some research and found that the thing will be returnable for the next 2 years and I am now working to get the thing returned.
